About Our President
Mike Hudek, P.Eng. 
Mike brings over 20 years of experience from a diverse range of positions in Industry, Institution, Academic and Not-For-Profit environments.
He has exceled in many roles and functions: Executive Director, Senior Management, Engineer, Program & Project Management, Sales, Product Development, R&D, Operations and Business System Development.
Combining this with experience working with manufacturers from many different sectors i.e.: Aerospace, Ground Vehicles, Civil Infrastructure, Thrill Rides and Sporting Goods allows him to take a multi-dimensional approach to innovation and problem solving based on an organization-wide view of the business situation and environment. This results in a solution that provides greater impact and value to the business since it aligns with the overall business strategy and leverages other parallel investments.
Mike brings a diverse network in industry, academia, industry support and technology organizations, and related government programs. We leverage this network to build the right team to successfully deliver solutions in a quality, timely and cost effective manner.
Mike’s accomplishments:
Guided the planning and development of hundreds of industry projects for product and capability development
Led the successful establishment of a new thermoplastic forming cell at a major aerospace manufacturer
As a member of the senior management team, helped grow the Composites Innovation Centre from a startup to a 30-person operation
Led the development of two not-for-profits—Canadian Composites Manufacturing R&D (CCMRD) and Composites Knowledge Network—and directed technology development and demonstration projects at several OEMs and small- and medium-sized manufacturers
Led the development and implementation of organization-wide business processes and systems (e.g., the selection and implementation of an enterprise resource planning system for an engineering services company that significantly reduced reporting labour and provided nearly instantaneous access to critical data and reports)
Transformed the sales process, systems, and approach for a not-for-profit, resulting in substantial growth and revenue stability
Developed and delivered numerous industry information workshops (e.g., Why Composites, Inspection Technology/Practices, Composite Defect Identification) that impacted hundreds of attendees.
Secured a repair design certificate from Transport Canada for an electron-beam repair on a commercial aircraft
Registered professional engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba since January 2006
